New Samsung Galaxy S4 and Note 8.0 cases debut with great excitement at RetailNOW in Las Vegas
Princeton, NJ –August 8, 2013– KoamTac, Inc., has made its name by offering Bluetooth barcode scanners and card readers compatible with what is likely the world’s largest array of smartphones and tablets. The versatility of the signature KDC has made it the ideal barcode and card reader companion for the retail market, which is why, against the backdrop of the RetailNOW trade show in Las Vegas, the Princeton-based company introduced cases for the Samsung Galaxy S4 smartphone and Note 8.0 tablet designed to work with its innovative product line to save companies time and money.
The new offerings join the Apple iPhone5 smartphone case to bring to 14 the number of custom cases that allow users to turn their smartphones and tablets into barcode PDAs when attached to and paired via Bluetooth with the KDC line of programmable Bluetooth barcode data and card readers.
“As quickly as smartphones and tablets evolve, we move just as quickly to design and produce the latest cases so we can help businesses capitalize on the tremendous boom in the popularity and adaptability of smart devices,” said Hanjin Lee, Ph.D., president and CEO of KoamTac.
“Companies understand that their employees, like everyone else, love keeping up with the latest smart devices, just one more factor that makes our smart scanners and accessories the intelligent and practical choice to help boost productivity and profits without having to spend a lot on updating the scanners themselves.”
The KDC400 sled line, compatible with all 14 smartphone and tablet cases, includes the
KDC415 and KDC425, which are equipped with magnetic stripe readers for retail
payments.
“Retail solution providers who visited our booth at RetailNOW showed genuine excitement for KoamTac’s broad range of smart device compatibility, particularly the new Samsung offerings,” stated Mark Schmidt, KoamTac’s COO, who visited with customers at the show. “Furthermore, current and prospective solution providers are finding great success with our miniature Bluetooth KDC models that can be worn around the neck of retail associates and pair with full-size tablets that offer maximum merchandising opportunity given the larger screen sizes.”
In addition to its compact size, the KDC’s durability and easy programmability have made it the popular choice not just for the retail industry, but for a host of other industries worldwide, including healthcare, warehouse and distribution, hospitality, transportation and field services.
