KOAMTAC and eMobilePOS Partner to Provide a Mobile Payment Solution for the Retail Environment

The partnership between the KOAMTAC KDC500 mPOS companion and the eMobilePOS software application will provide retailers with a seamless solution for both payment and inventory management.

January 17, 2016, Princeton, NJ – KOAMTAC®, Inc., pioneer and manufacturer of miniature Bluetooth barcode scanners and mPOS solutions, today announced its partnership with e-Nabler® Corporation, developer of the award-winning mobile POS software eMobilePOS®. Through this partnership, merchants will be able to deploy turnkey tablet and handheld based POS solutions that comply with EMV payment requirements.

KOAMTAC KDC Bluetooth barcode scanners and mobile POS companions are the world’s most compact yet durable and dependable data collectors on the market today. The KDC500 mPOS companion and KDC400 SmartSled® products are universally compatible with all technology platforms, including the Android operating system.

“Over the past 10 years, KOAMTAC has provided the highest quality and most compact accessories for smart devices. Now we have successfully launched the KDC500, the smallest PCI certified EMV/MSR payment companion with barcode and NFC options. The KDC500 is currently being used in leading retail and transportation companies, who require both barcode scanning and payment solutions. I believe the partnership of eMobilePOS and KOAMTAC will provide the best mPOS solution for retail and transportation companies today,” said Dr. Hanjin Lee, President & CEO of KOAMTAC.

The eMobilePOS software highlights the demand for Android-based POS which is superior to the competition in terms of versatility and security. eMobilePOS has certified KOAMTAC’s Chip and PIN payment device, KDC500, enabling merchants to use fully integrated EMV certified payment processing with the eMobilePOS system.

Card data is protected by point-to-point encryption (P2PE) between the KDC500 and the processing platform, significantly reducing the risk for the merchant. In addition to Chip and PIN, the KDC500 terminals also feature NFC and MSR, as well as, 1D/2D Bluetooth barcode scanning options.

“The EMV liability shift is upon us and merchants are looking for POS-integrated options. New tablet-based POS systems are making the switch both attainable and attractive for most merchants in various industry verticals we serve,” says Joel Vazquez, President & CEO of eMobilePOS. “KOAMTAC’s KDC500 complements the eMobilePOS offering by
providing secure, EMV certified payments. Our customers are assured that EMV compliance is achieved feasibly by simply adding certified KDC500 Chip and PIN terminal to their existing eMobilePOS system.”

The eMobilePOS application with the KDC500 mPOS Companion will be demonstrated during Retail’s Big Show (NRF) at the Jacob Javits Center in NY from January 17th through 19th at the KOAMTAC Booth (# 1311) and Samsung Booth (# 2062).
