How do I activate and use KDC8?

Before You Begin

  • Obtain a valid KDC8 activation code from KOAMTAC.
  • Make sure your mobile device has an active internet connection.

Activate KDC8

Android and iPhone / iPad (iOS)

  1. Open the Menu in the upper-right corner of the KTSync app.
  2. Select Activation Code.
  3. Enter your activation code and tap OK.
  4. A confirmation message appears when activation is successful.

Note: After activation, KTSync automatically attempts to activate the KDC8 software decoder each time the app starts.

Use KDC8 for Barcode Scanning

Android and iPhone / iPad (iOS)

  1. Open Settings > Software Decoder Settings.
  2. Set Software Decoder Selection to KDC8.
  3. Set Scanner to either Software Only or Hardware and Software Simultaneously.
  4. Return to the main screen and tap Scan to scan barcodes using the KDC8 software decoder.
